Rundezvous

We coined a new term: Rundezvous
Run·dez·vous [ruhn-dey-voo]–noun

  1. an agreement between two or more runners to meet at a certain time and place for a run.
  2. the gathering and run details are announced through a variety of networks and social media.

Here are few ideas for hosting your own rundezvous:

a) Run from where you work or gather: Host a run from a day-care, manufacturing plant, bank, school, coffee shop or place of worship.

b) New business: Host a run in conjunction with a launch of a new venture.  An outstanding networking for a new yoga studio!

c) Showcase a unique geographic feature from your area:  Include a river crossing, a challenging hill climb, maple bush, or other feature runners will be sure to remember.

d) As a fundraiser:  There are no costs involved in these runs, however a group run may offer an outstanding way to bring people together to collect pledges for someone in your community.  Run for Life can provide you with a simple tool for gathering online pledges.

e) Civic spirit:  A run could include an earth day garbage pick up, a “soup can” run to the food bank, or a stop over in your civic square to sing jingle bells.  Have some fun and connect to your community in a meaningful way.
